For this particular setup, I think the spotlight in the center did not help convey lust. It was neutral and it seemed more calm in the center because of it.
I think they should have let the objects be washed over with red (not orange-ish red). Strangely, the gobo pattern they used reminded me of like the sheets in movies like Austin Powers with the tiger pattern. Yet, I still didn’t make the connection to the word.
There was a pulsating light effect going on, but lust has a faster – way faster heartbeat than what they had programmed, because your blood pressure is rising with adrenaline. The whole setup was just more love than lust, in my opinion. Even the spotlight in the center reinforced that.
